Today the talk by Andrew Medley (or another RNLI speaker) is The 160th Anniversary of Torbay’s First RNLI Lifeboat Station.

2026 marks the 160th anniversary of the establishment of Torbay’s first RNLI lifeboat station.  Learn more about the rich history of the RNLI in Torbay.  We will feature stories of past crew members and their participation in some of the dramatic rescues that have taken place in the last 160 years, and give an insight into how Torbay RNLI expects to evolve in the next 160 years.

St Anne’s Hall doors open at 2pm and the talk starts at 2.30.  Tea and coffee are served after.
