Monthly Talk November 2013 with Ian Handford

On a bitter cold evening a full St Anne’s Hall welcomed Ian Handford.

We heard of how Doctor Herbert Chilcote dedicated his life with total commitment to be a friend of the poor in the 1800’s.

Also George Waymouth a shipbuilder and seaman in search of the North West passage during the reigns of Queen Elizabeth the first and James the first.

Both fascinating stories and extremely well presented.
