John Risdon is one of our most respected local speakers and he will be telling us the story of the family that lived in Oldway Mansion.

The Singer family made their fortune with making the Singer sewing machines and Isaac settled in Torbay, building Oldway Mansion. In the early 20th century his son Paris remodelled the house.  John tells the dramatic story of both men and Paris’ affair with Isadora Duncan.
