This evening Robert Hesketh will tell us about Devon Castles.

Robert is a freelance writer and photographer, who has published over 60 Devon, Dorset and Somerset titles.  Devon has a fascinating array of castles and historic fortifications.  In this talk, he explains how they were developed and altered over the centuries to meet the changing military, political and domestic needs of the people who used them including examples from every major period from the Iron Age to England’s newest castle, Castle Drogo.
